Introduction
The Division of General Medical Sciences (GMS) performs patient-oriented research and provides research training in clinical epidemiology, health outcomes, health decision making, and biostatistics. Our faculty apply these research methods to a variety of clinical questions and problems in preventive medicine and clinical medicine. We provide training through formal coursework and through a fellowship in GMS which focuses on clinical epidemiology and health outcomes research methodology. Our faculty also provide consultation to other researchers in the design and analysis of patient-oriented research.
