Walton Sumner II, MD

Dr. Walton Sumner received his medical degree from Southwestern Medical School, completed family practice residency training in Columbus, Georgia, and completed fellowships in faculty development (Baylor, Houston) and medical informatics (Dartmouth). He is the coursemaster of the Family Practice clerkship for third-year medical students at Washington University. Dr. Sumner's current research interests revolve around a patient simulation program being developed by the American Board of Family Medicine, an Electronic Student Encounter Log implemented on Palm computers, and tobacco policy. Dr. Sumner continues to support U-Titer II preference assessment software, implemented in HyperCard.
